Marissa Martinez, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Marissa Martinez, DPT, is an excellent asset to the MDM team. Marissa was born and raised in Iowa and relocated from the midwest to the southwest in 2019. Her training for the physical therapy profession began at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa where she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as her minor in Biology. She continued on at Clarke, ultimately earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The desire to help others enjoy an active and pain-free life was Marissa’s motivation to become a physical therapist. Proficient in many areas, Marissa is especially interested in rehabilitation of the shoulder. Marissa and her husband stay busy chasing their young daughter and love to spend weekends watching Iowa Hawkeye sports and spending time with family and friends. With compassion, patience, and diligence, Marissa is able to help her patients decrease pain, increase strength, and overcome difficult challenges.
